Me and Cygnus
Hi, I'm Emese Vida, a graphic designer.
I became a freelancer in 2017, and in addition to my profession, I made it available to you through workshops so that you could learn drawing and painting with me.
My goal is primarily to show the way to certain genres, even to those who have never dared to embark on this path. I prepare my workshops with constantly changing themes, so there is room for development (for you and me). But the point of the workshops is not only this, but also that you can give yourself those few hours that are about someone else, but in the end you realize that they are ultimately about you. For those who feel comfortable with it, we will find out in a personalized way what they need for true self-expression, even in an individual lesson.
I have some attachment to landscapes...Semi-abstract landscapes in which I display my own world. This is where I find myself returning to in different stages of my life, this is what inspires me to paint.
And what is Cygnus?
The constellation Cygnus, a constellation belonging to the Uranian realm in the northern sky, tells the story of the process of becoming an individual. The inner experiences and feelings that everyone goes through when they realize their true nature.
The alpha star of Cygnus is Deneb, one of the guiding stars of the Summer Triangle. Altair, Deneb, and Vega are the brightest stars in the constellations Aquila, Cygnus, and Lyra.
In many depictions, the image of a swan is reflected in water, symbolizing self-reflection. The water represents both the emotional body and the underlying state of spiritual bliss arising from awareness.
The swan represents the kind of dignity and purity in which we move away from the perception of the subjective self and exist in a higher consciousness. A present, contemplative state. The kind of discernment that separates the real from the false. In this purity, the individual naturally moves away from energies that do not represent the higher qualities.
The swan symbol plays a prominent role in many cultures and religions. It appears in Greco-Scythian mythology as the sacred animal of Zeus. In Egyptian mythology, it is a symbol of resurrection and eternity. In Buddhist traditions, it symbolizes perfect enlightenment. But it also appears in Christian and Japanese culture as a symbol of love and resurrection.
When this constellation is active, this aspect of our being speaks to us. I intend for us to come into alignment with what is Real within us.
